Two moo-some cow variants are joining the herd! I tried to get an interview with an original cow to see if they felt camaraderie or perhaps if they were worried about more cows moo-ving in on their territory? Their only response was “moo”, which I'm told means “speak to my agent”. Until we get hold of them, let’s turn our attention to the cold cow and the warm cow instead!

Eh, anyways. This new plant block spawns dancing firefly particles that – listen to this – glow in the dark. As if that wasn’t enough, you can bury the firefly bush below other blocks to make them sparkle! Trek to swamps and bodies of water (during the day, obviously) to retrieve the firefly bush, and then you can use bone meal to grow more in the safety of your own home.

Next time you’re surfing the dunes of the desert biomes, husks and warm cows won’t be the only things heard stirring in the sandbanks. Listen out for whispers of sand and other new ambient desert sounds coming from clusters of sand and terracotta blocks. The dead bush will also carry the chirping of crickets, rustling twigs, and howling winds as you journey across this expansive terrain.

As somebody who lacks green fingers in real life, I welcome any new lush plant block with open arms. Our latest tuft of greenery is the bush which can be found sprouting in forests, birch forests, plains, windswept hills, and other green biomes. Once you get your hands on one, you can grow more bushes yourself using bone meal.
