Strat's Food Expansion! This add-on nerfs all existing vanilla foods and requires more progression for you to obtain a fulfilling snack! This add-on was inspired by the amazing Java Mod "Pam's Harvestcraft".
As you explore, you will encounter some things that will help you make some of your favourite foods.
Crop Bush
When breaking this, you will have a chance of obtaining the new crops: tomato and lettuce!
You can also collect them by using shears!
Maple Trees
Maple syrup can be gathered from this tree, by using a bottle when the syrup on the logs has matured.
I'd recommend breaking all the leaves or they will be left hanging, but I'll hopefully be able to fix this in a future update.
Salt Ore
Salt Ore is a white ore, found in caves and mountains. When mining this, you can get from 1-3 pieces of salt, which is needed for making some foods.
EquipmentChurn
This is used to make butter, by placing milk in it and churning it!  Cheese Mold
This is used to make cheese, by placing milk in it and waiting for it to mature, which can take around 30 seconds.
Then the cheese block can be made into slices! Cheese is then used to make many foods, such as cheeseburgers and even pizza!  Toaster
This is used to toast bread, obviously. Just slot some bread slices in the toaster and it will become toast. Note: This won't appear in the recipe book because of a Minecraft bug.
This can be buttered and even jam can be added to it! New EquipmentPaper Plate
These are needed for making 6 different meals: - Bacon and Eggs
- Bangers and Mash
- Fish and Chips
- Nuggets and Fries
- Spaghetti Bolognese
- Steak and Chips
However, they become dirty and are only a one-time use. Clay Plate
These are used to make Ceramic Plates by smelting them. Ceramic Plate
These are an alternative to Paper Plates but are reusable. Kitchen Knife
This is needed to cut food on the Chopping Board. Chopping Board
This is used to cut these 3 foods: - Bread → Bread Slices
- Raw Chicken → Chicken Slices + Raw Chicken Wing
- Raw Porkchop → Raw Bacon / Raw Sausage
Note: This won't appear in the recipe book because of a Minecraft bug.  Pot
This is used to make salt by putting water into it. Note: This can only be placed on furnaces or smokers.  Frying Pan
This is used to cook many different foods: - Raw Bacon → Cooked Bacon
- Raw Sausage → Cooked Sausage
- Raw Chicken Wing → Cooked Chicken Wing
- Chicken Slices + Salt → Chicken Nuggets
- 2 Potatoes + Salt → Fries
- Batter → Pancake
- Egg → Fried Egg
Note: This can only be placed on furnaces or smokers.
Food
Because there is a lot of food in this add-on, I'll only give a few examples. Bread
Bread has been tweaked to become a loaf and its recipe has been changed to make it more difficult to obtain.
First, you will need to make flour, using wheat.
Next, you place a water bucket below the flour and you get dough.
Finally, after obtaining three dough, you get bread!
Alternatively, you can also get the old bread (baguette) by placing the dough vertically.
Then, you can cut the Bread on the Chopping Board to obtain Bread Slices. Fish and Chips
Fish and Chips is made with fries and cooked cod.
To get fries, you need 2 potatoes and salt, and you fry them in the frying pan.
And with the fries, cooked cod and a plate together, voila! You get Fish and Chips! This food has a chance of giving you regeneration for a short time.
