Chaos Cubed landed in Minecraft yesterday – bringing the sulfur cube, sulfur caves, and endless chaotic possibilities into Minecraft. And today, the mayhem continues! We’re kicking off weeks of chaotic summer fun as we tackle two community challenges, do battle in multiplayer experiences, play with friends with Parties (beta), get more for less in Marketplace’s Summer Sale, and more!

That’s right, there will be TWO community challenges! I’m not really supposed to tell you anything about them yet– but I am the chaos, remember? So, in this document I saw marked “confidential – do not share, especially not online, and yes that includes you Sophie” I saw that the first challenge is going to reward you for making chaos YOUR way, and the second one will reward you for spreading this chaos with friends!

I’m so excited for these that I’ve already begun practicing my chaos-making around the office. I’ve swapped the “up” and “down” buttons in the lift, I’ve hidden tiny speakers that only play the creeper hiss, and I’ve covered every screen in sight in Post-It notes.

Speaking of spreading the chaos – have you tried Parties in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition yet? HR told me it's a much more acceptable way of making mayhem – and it’s available to try now on Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows PC in beta!

Parties will make it easier than ever before to play with friends. You can easily invite up to 14 friends to your party, seamlessly switch between worlds and realms, and plan your adventures in your own private chat! It also makes it really easy to bring your dream team into multiplayer experiences, such as GenWars, Mob Maze or SoulSteel!

All offers, challenges, and the Summer Sale require Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (sold separately) and an active internet connection (ISP fees may apply), except free player jerseys require either Bedrock or Java Edition (sold separately). Online console multiplayer including the second community challenge, multiplayer adventures, and Realms offer require a platform-specific online subscription (sold separately). Realms offer requires Realms Plus subscription, sold separately. After each community challenge is complete, all Bedrock players receive the associated in-game reward. Rewards must be redeemed by June 16 2027. Summer Sale valid from 10 AM Pacific Time June 30, 2026 to 10 AM Pacific Time July 28, 2026.
