When we came up with the idea for the Minecraft Movie Build Challenge, we wanted to give our community a chance to be part of an exciting moment in Minecraft’s journey. We have so much appreciation for your creativity and dedication to Minecraft, whether your challenge entry was your first attempt at building or the result of many years of practice.

More than 21,000 builders answered the call, making this the biggest community build challenge in Minecraft history. Thank you to everyone who shared their creativity with us and helped make this such a memorable event. THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER

We’re thrilled to announce that the official Grand Prize winner is the Lightning Rod Lighthouse by Francisco C.M.! This stunning tundra-inspired house, towering over a foundation of ice, impressed not only the judges but the community as well. We really admired its creative use of the tundra blocks and remarkable attention to detail.
我们很高兴地宣布，官方大奖的得主是由 Francisco C.M. 设计的《Lightning Rod Lighthouse》！这座建立在冰基之上充满极地风情的住宅建筑，不仅让评委们印象深刻，也赢得了社区人士的赞誉。我们非常欣赏他们对极地建筑元素的创造性运用，以及对细节的精湛处理。


THE TWIST

While going over the submissions, we were blown away by the talent and creativity of every participant. Narrowing it down to three Finalists wasn’t an easy task – and both Mojang Studios and the filmmakers were huge fans of the entire final roster. Because of this, we’re very excited to announce that we will be including all the Finalists’ Builds in A Minecraft Movie Squared or its end credits. All the Builds have unique styles and fit so well in their respective biomes, so we’re very eager to showcase them on the big screen.

A NOTE ON THE ADMISSION PROCESS
关于录取流程的说明

There was an oversight during our admission process that the community brought to our attention last week, after the Finalists had been announced and voting had already begun. Our team was caught up in the excitement of reviewing the community submissions and overlooked that the Tree Village Build contained blocks from multiple biomes.
在昨天的入围者名单公布、投票已经开始之后，我们的团队在审核社区提交的作品时犯了一个错误。我们忽略了《Tree Village》这个作品中包含来自多个生物群落的模块。社区成员在得知这一情况后及时向我们提出了反馈。

While we appreciate that the Build was created with good intentions, we ultimately had to remove the Tree Village Build from Grand Prize consideration for this reason. However, due to the strong support it received from both the community and our judging panel – including the filmmakers – we've decided to recognize it as an honorable mention and have it appear in the movie alongside the Finalists and overall winner. We also decided to bring another Build from the semifinals (Tranquil Taiga Tower) into the final and include it in the movie as well. This is the Build that would’ve advanced to the finals if we’d noticed the extra biome blocks in the Tree Village Build in time.

This felt like the most equitable approach to the situation, while also creating an opportunity to highlight more of the community’s creativity in the final movie.

HOW WILL THE BUILDS SHOW UP IN THE MOVIE?

Exactly where they'll appear is something we're keeping under wraps for now, so you'll have to keep an eye out when the movie hits theaters! While we can't guarantee specific placement, every included Build will appear either in the movie itself or the end credits.

WILL THE BUILDS LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME IN THE MOVIE?

Every Finalist Build is making the jump from Minecraft into the world of A Minecraft Movie Squared . While a few small adjustments may be made for the film, the filmmakers are preserving the creativity and spirit that made each build special.
每一个入围作品都被成功地从 Minecraft 世界转变成了《我的世界大电影2》的模样。虽然为这部电影可能会做一些小的调整，但导演们仍然保留了那些让每个作品都充满特色的创意与精神。


WHY DIDN'T YOU RESTART THE VOTE ONCE YOU DISCOVERED THE ISSUE?

Swapping out the Tree Village Build with another semifinalist and restarting the vote would have meant that the other Finalists would lose all the votes they had already earned. We’d much rather have more builds in the movie than have them start from square one and go through the voting process again.
如果用另一个入围作品来替换当前的《Tree Village》作品并重新开始投票过程，那么其他入围者将失去他们已经获得的所有票数。我们宁愿在电影中看到更多的作品，而不是让它们不得不从零开始再次经历投票过程。


WHY ARE YOU STILL INCLUDING THE TREE VILLAGE BUILD IN THE MOVIE IF IT’S NOT A FINALIST?

The Tree Village is an exceptional Build and very popular within the community. We don’t want to take away the recognition and momentum it’s already been given due to the error in evaluating the Build. We try to put our community first in everything we do, and we think that including Tree Village follows that principle.
